I am soo excited We have had a problem with our vermont leaking and when i went to the shop today they agreed to a replacement. I asked them if they would consider letting us upgrade to a Norfolk lake and they agreed. I've wanted one for ages but our car wasn't big enough but ironically we have just this morning bought a new bigger car that can cope with the extra weight and bulk.

I can't wait to go away in it now Last week in devon was so dismal with all the rain and bloody leaks. And going in the new car too so that it shouldn't be quite such a nightmare fitting everything in

So lucycat are you still happy with your NL and do you have any tips to share???

OM MY GOD!! How super exciting dusty!

I adore Lakey and I'm really excited that there is another Lakey owner on MN. We still love her, we were also down in Devon last week and she was fantastic - thick PVC groundsheet so there was never any doubt that water would come through and absolutely no leaks, despite the 'delightful' weather!

OK so tips - the poles are huge banana shaped jobbies so you will need plenty of space to shove them through the top sections. Do the bedroom end first then peg out and work down the tent, pretty much as your Vermont did.
There is no way you can leave the groundsheet in, tis huge and very heavy. I zip it in once the basic framework is up, then we only use 2 of the bedrooms and you have a cavernous space inside then.

Do you have a side canopy? The only downside we have is that as the side doors slope you it's difficult to get out without rain getting in the tent! We have a nylon one.

I'm going to put the dd's to bed but I'll be back.

oh and spideygirl on ukcamping has one so do a search for her threads on there.

ooohhhh sooooo pleased for you all!
