Camping goddesses, please help me choose a tent

I'm a complete novice at camping, but have to chose a tent. We'll probably only use it one/twice a year. I have one ds who is 2. Have got it down to 3, mainly because they are cheap, but I'm not sure which benefits are most important, so I thought someone on mumsnet would probably be able to help

this one and this one are very similar. The main difference is the way the poles are set up, is one easier to setup? Is a dome easier than a tunnel?

I like this one because it's a bit wider than the others (dp is a bed hog) but there is no side door, does that matter?

I have posted 2 pics in my profile thingymajig!
Let me know if you are interested, if you prefer a new one, I would definately recommend the Vango Idaho, i feel very strongly about having the children next to us.

Dp is a paratrooper and quite brave. One night whilst camping, on his own, in a field near a skydiving centre, he experienced something very weird. He woke, startled to find someone creeping round his tent, (in the middle of a field, miles from anywhere)and jumped up with his trusty 'knew it would come in handy one day' knife to find a wierd as hell bloke, walking round the tent, pulling up his pegs and throwing them away as he steadily walked into the distance! Dp was really freaked out! He wont let us out of his sight when we camp now - how bloody glad am I!!!

Oh, and Im a crap salesperson, that wasnt 'a line'!!!!

Nixz, That sounds awful, ok so definitely side be side bedrooms! Hadn't thought about second hand, I can't see your profile.

I can't see us camping for a couple of nights at time, so we won't need anything huge. Did you miss not having a canopy on the Idaho?
