We are looking into (probably next year but I want to know now ) getting a camper. I need to know what would be the best for us.
We want the smallish one. There will be 2 adults 2 kids (7/8) and eventually a baby(hopefully!)
I also need to know about toilets/water/showers etc!

TIA

We used to have a Renault Trafic, ours was 2 berth, but you can get 4 berth versions and we would've had room for a cot too. Ours didn't have shower/toilet etc as we thought that was alot of hassle (emptying them isn't much fun) and means you need a bigger one too! Ours did have water, sink, double hob, grill, fridge but was pretty basic, suited us very well though. Of course you could still go for a 2 berth and have a decent awning for the kids.
Ours was 6ft3 wide which is great as we went around places like Dartmoor, Lake District, Yorkshire Dales, Scotland, Wales etc and lots of the tiny roads have 6ft6 restrictions on them, so it was small enough to go everywhere, lovely to drive too.
We'll get one again one day but had to sell it to economise when I had dd.
The other type we were keen on at the time but were a bit more expensive were the fiat ducatos. Do love VW's too but a bit too small for us (had 2 dogs aswell as me &DH)and I've heard they're v expensive to run and maintain.
Transits can also be good but are a bit bigger.
Good luck, they are great fun!

We were bothered about narrow roads, we live on the edge of the lakes so know what a pita they can be on narrow roads!
