since DH has decided to come acamping next weekend and DD1 has ripped her sleeping bag i am going to have to go camping shopping (hurrah)
DD1 can have my old bag. I need a really warm one as i feel the cold most pitifully. DH needs one too.
we also need 2 new mats as my sister lost one of mine and DH will need one.
so which are best? do I order a few bits of tinternet and hope they get delivered? or do i pop to tesco or are theirs a bit rubbish? or do i venture to millets/blacks?

argos have mummy ones on sale at the mo, very thick single ones. meant to be £30 down to £15. i bought one for ds last week- he complained about being hot whilst we camped this weekend

I'm interested in this too - I need at least a four season one, I'm such a cold sleeper, even in summer. my 3 season plus fleece liner just doesnt cut it.

i'm not sure whether its 3 or 4 seson - its 500gsm which is equivalent of 11 togs according to argos. my ds is a cold sleeper, he slept inside 2 sleeping bags last time we went camping hence i bought him this sleeping bag- which he complained he was hot. i have one the same thickness and ended up sleeping in just my undies as i was so hot

A quick tip - If you have the proper mummy type sleeping bags the less you wear the warmer you'll be - they're designed to work that way - you just have to endure a few minutes being very cold until the bag works properly.

really? when I get cold I just don't seem to warm up at all. I think my inner furnace is deficient!

Army surplus down bags, around £40 for a long one and warm and snuggly all night. DH,DS4 and myself each have one but DD2 has her own pink sleeping bag and willnot swap it for a green one. She wakes up cold DS spends hours playing in it. We have tried various 3/4 season bags but nothing else comes close.

ooooo - theres one of those shops down the road - will look tomorrow - thanks

If they don't have them try this place it's where we got ours, they were delivered the next day. If they have them in the shop make sure the zip works they are expensive to replace.
