Tent storage/organisation at a festival

We're heading to a festival in a few weeks with our tent and are looking for some budget friendly storage solutions to make things easier to find.

We usually end up dumping everything at the sides of the tent and it's really chaotic and difficult to find stuff by the end of the festival 🤣

Is there any easy and cheap we could do to store things better? Could we hang stuff up or would it bring the tent down?

Our tent is a Vango Ashton 500:

Our car is pretty small, so we're limited in what we can bring, so solutions would need to be pretty compact. Thanks!

Yes, you can hang things inside your tent, but make sure you distribute the weight fairly evenly. We use washing line peg bags and baskets for storage, and often take a 3-tier collapsible clothes rail for longer camping trips.

We got these in Aldi recently and they are brilliant https://www.aldi.co.uk/product/adventuridge-premium-camping-storage-box-000000000626798001
We also have use car boot organiser that we got in Halfords, which I is good but I prefer the Aldi ones, they pack up slightly smaller and have an insert to make the bottom rigid.

I've used these for years - they are brilliant for keeping tents organised.

I second the boot organiser suggestion, I’ve got two that I take camping with me. One for clothes and toiletries and the other used to store food and cooking equipment. I’ve also got a pop up laundry basket for dirty clothes which takes no space in the car but is a godsend for keeping the tent tidy.

Ikea kallax fabric boxes fold up flat - we each have 1 for our clothes.

This looks perfect, thank you!

The blue IKEA bags for clothes

I wouldn’t hang anything heavy from your tent poles, personally.

I have multiple carrier bags with different clothing types in plus another for toiletries and one for dirty stuff which I put along the side of my sleeping mat. Each morning I make sure it’s organised and tidy so if it’s dark when I go back in I can find things. My tent has 3 pockets each side in the sleeping compartment I keep medication, water bottle, torch, headphones and power bank.

it’s a simple solution and free, assuming like me your house drowns in carrier bags

Seems mad, but this really works. Transporting it is easy as it comes apart into short wooden lengths

Packing cubes! a couple of different colours if you want to colour code who's stuff is who's

You can also fit them under the seat in some cars to get the most out of your car packing space

If you can go back to your car you can swap over a bag of dirty clothes for a bag of clean (I used to do a trip halfway through at a smaller festival)
