Our spare room downstairs is packed with stuff!

Tent
Cooker
Picnic table with integral seats
Folder chairs
Folder table
Lamps
Cooking pots, cutlery, crockery
Sleeping bags
Mattresses etc etc etc.

We haven't even started sorting out clothes yet let alone tinned food or toys/games for the boys. hopeully our Zafira will be able to take the strain.

I dread to think how much more we will have to pack for a week. Next year we will have to buy a roof box.

Just hope that the weather is warm and sunny for the bank holiday weekend!!

I think this every time. We have got a roof box and the car is still bursting.

actually you don't need much more for a week - the basics are still the same!

Are you sure you need a folding table as well as the picnic set? And I find the DCs hardly play with any toys - they run around with sticks, find mud or water, that sort of thing. Balls and maybe bats are very good. Fishing rods/ nets also good.

Agree with Dusty, the difference between a break and a week is a few pairs of shorts and some undies- not even that if the site has a washer!.

Dont think you do need 2 tables as Dusty says, we just use a folding table; toys / books we often buy cheapies when we're there to save space

Ok, will ditch spare table and keep toys to a minimum.

Thanks for the advice!

Hi - we have a Zafira, and ended up with a roof box, cos we couldnt fit it in. Agree you dont need much more for a long trip, or a short one. Possibly keep 2 folding chairs, so you can sit outside the tent comfortably after LOs have gone to bed.

Looks like we are going to get a roofbox sooner than we think. I notice Aldi are selling them this week.

lol i fit(just) everything we need in a 106!
only me and 2 dc. we have a tent, a cooker (which fits inside our table) a gas bottle for cooker. a big holdall with our clothes etc. cooking pans/utensils. plates and cups. folding chair each. airbeds and sleeping bags.

and as was mentioned before take a few toys and a ball. ds's bike goes o the carrier on the back of car

There are 5 of us and we take EVERYTHING! I agree wholeheartedly with dusty and peachy that its the same clobber for 1 night as it is for 1 week! Aah, buts its worth it
!

We used to fit us, 3 kids and all we needed in a {rotpn saloon, but the new car and a baby means we're got a luggage thing for the tow bar to carry the tent

we managed 7 (inc. 4 adults), two large tents and all the gear in an espace alst year

not really relevant but...

I have just purchased my bucket with lid! Am very excited. Also bopught eco degradable nappy pad thingmy's to go inside swing bin liner inside said bucket.

I think I might practice tonight in the safety of my own home to determine the best method
