We are considering, as part of our summer holiday, going and staying at a KeyCamp place in the south of France.

What are they like?
DD will be 3yo - will is be suitable?
What is the accommodation like?
Anything we should know?

Other plans are:

  • fly to Nice; collect 14 day hire car
  • Key Camp (or similar) for 7 days
  • 4 nights somewhere between Nice and Paris - not yet decided
  • 3 nights in Disney Land Paris (for DD )
  • Fly home from Paris

Hulababy just to respond to an earlier point - if you are making your own travel arrangements you get a discount off the price (I think its about £70 or so) - not sure you realised that.

Thanks elliott - I could find a discount on their web page. Obviously didn't look hard enough! £70 isn't a huge amount is it? At least it is something though!

Haven't read all the postings so sorry if repeating, but we've been 3 times with Canvas and they're fab. Last time we stayed in the top of the range caravan which had a dishwasher and 2 bathrooms and it was just lovely. Unfortunately it will be hard for us to stay in any other sort of caravan now! Also, if you do fly drive as we always do, you get about 70 quid off the price of the holiday. The Canvas staff on site were so helpful too, I actually wrote to the MD to tell him how great they were.

Has anybody stayed at La Pachacaid site nr ST Tropez? I think this looks lovely in the brouchure (Keycamp) but have never done this type of holiday before. We are looking to stay in a mobile home. Also, i have this site on eurocamp but they're accommodation looks much different. Do different companies have different accommodation types on the same site?

CB, I haven't been to that campsite, but this will be our 5th year with Keycamp this year and IME their mobiles are better, but that's only my opinion
