Coleman Cedar Creek or Outwell Nevada M?

I've been dithering about this for months, but need to decide very soon but just can't, don't no why!

Outwell seems slightly bigger but Coleman maybe higher which would suit DH as he is very tall.

Help me, i need to buy it this weekend.

We were looking at these as a weekend/small pitch tent and were put off the Coleman as it didn't seem straightforward to put up. The Outwell one would have won the vote for us but we aren't "very tall". Have you seen them both in real life and at the same location or too much to ask?? Good Luck.

I'd say cedar creek for one reason

LAst year our campsite was caught in a tornado!

Our rent did OK, sagged a bit but fine. The Outwell, normally such a good maek, was ruined.

The Coleman was completely untouched.

hence, we are now Big Fans of Coleman!

I like the look of the cedar creek but the second bedroom is very small - bizarre size given that colemans own airbeds are too wide to fit

hotcrossbunny · 16/05/2008 11:28

I love our Coleman Trispace. Gale Force 8 last year - we were one of the only tents left standing

sandyballs · 16/05/2008 11:46

Thanks for replies. I've just orderd the Coleman - it's down to just 99 quid in go.outdoors.com!!

When you get it can you post on here and say whether you can fit a normal 137cm wide double airbed in the second bedroom please TIA

sandyballs · 16/05/2008 11:50

I'll do that, it does seem a bit odd that their own airbeds don't fit.

Was just about to say 'great names!'

Sorry, wrong thread

Isn't there a campsite in or near the New Forest called Sandy Balls?

dustystar · 16/05/2008 12:25

Yes there is

OrmIrian · 16/05/2008 12:27

OMG!!! Phew. I just took a quite look at the thread and thought it was another baby name quest. Was girding my loins to say no no no to Coleman for a boy specially with Cedar Creek as second name....

Snap manxmum!

Have you used it yet sandy?

sandyballs · 03/06/2008 21:30

No Dusty I haven't. It's still sitting in our garage unopened! We rented a cottage last week with the in laws so no chance then and since we've been home it's been pouring with rain. I'm hoping to get it up in the garden on Sunday if its dry. Or talk DH into going away for a couple of nights the weekend after to try it out. I'm think we should perhaps check all the bits are there before going away in it though.

I was shocked at the weight of it, i can barely lift it and I'm a big strong girl .

Right, i eventually got round to putting up my coleman Cedar creek and it took me 3.5 hours . The sewn in instructions were missing a bit, quite a crucial bit, and i also found it quite heavy and high and therefore tricky to put up alone.

I'm sure that now I know what I'm doing it can be done a lot quicker, less than an hour, it's just there was a lot of standing about and head scratching, hence the 3.5 hours .

But it was definitely worth it, fab fab tent, very spacious, even more so than I had originally thought. DH can stand up in it easily and when I came home from work today he and the girls were eating their dinner in it, so I might well convert him into a camper after all.

Daisy - I managed to get my Outwell double air mat in the smaller second bedroom quite easily, and that is 130cm.

It's only 75 pound online now.

Glad you like it sandy We have bought the one form Aldi now though. Not as nice but i did manage to put it up by myself so I'm happy.
