We're newbies to the camping 🏕 game. All the gear and no idea. We only started in Sept last year with a borrowed tent and went camping 3 times, all very successful trips.
This year we have brand new shiny massive air tent and new trailer and have lots of sites in the UK booked up until June, making use out of the upcoming bank holidays (please let it be good weather 🤞).

Next weekend we've booked Windermere. Easter hols we are doing a weeks road trip via a few sites down the Welsh Borders to the Forest of Dean. Easter Weekend we are in Bamburgh. May BH weekend, I've booked Bala. May school hols we are doing another weeks road trip of southern Scotland and the Lake District.

We're considering a road trip in Northern Europe in the Summer.

I'm interested in area recommendations, especially for weekend breaks. Based in the NW we are lucky to have Yorks/ Lakes/ Scotland/ N Wales/ Peak District not too far away.

Where have you guys booked so far? Or do you wait for the weather to be good and go then?

Be pralepared for how cold it will be at night in April. We went over Easter a few years ago, got sunburnt in the day and were freezing at night!

We went camping in Nov so have warmer sleeping bags and EHU for tent heater. Definitely prepared for chilly weather.

We once camped at easter, it was so cold. Don't forget your hat for bed.
The East coast is lovely, lots of nice sites. Just make sure you go EHU

We are going to the Dordogne for three weeks! Once you camp in France you’ll never camp in the UK again!

We’re off to the Peak District this week, Dorset at Easter and Clubfest at the end of May. We have graduated from a tent to a caravan though so will be warmer and drier if it rains.

Wow you have plans for so many beautiful places!

Beware packing your tent up damp, it’s hard to get it dry in colder weather. All good if you have a garage or conservatory for drying.

Insulation under you in the sleeping pods is good while the ground is still cold, the foam jigsaw play mats or workshop mats from Halfords etc.

I am looking forward to an early May Kent trip

I have Easter in peak district. A long weekend in June near Harrogate and 10 days in September near Bamburgh. Looking forward to getting out again soon.
