Bella Italia camp

Hello, I was wondering if anyone has been to Bella Italia Camping at Lake Garda. We are thinking of booking for September as its much cheaper. We have a 4 and 2 year old, is it suitable for this age and would the weather be okay? I'm very unsure and haven't travelled in a while so not feeling too confident in my choices! Thanks in advance!

We went recently and had a wonderful time. If you're on Facebook, there is a group for it and also one for Eurocamp which has lots of reviews

We went last month with our 2 year old. It's a big site but we really enjoyed our time there. There's loads of things to do - pools and slides - unfortunately, the smaller slides all had a lot of water spray/buckets tipping over, so my DD avoided them but she did like one of the bigger slides as long as we held her hand on the way down. They also have a playground and a bouncy castle area which opens in the evening (this was my daughters favourite part of the holiday)

Few restaurant/takeaways for when you don't want to cook and the shop was well stocked. And a gelateria.

My little one also enjoyed getting the road train onto Peschiera. And Gardaland is nearby if they like a theme park (it has a very small peppa pig world, plus other rides)

We went when our kids were that age and it was great! We also went pre-kids in September and have wonderful weather.
It's a lovely site....large with good amenities but didn't feel overcrowded. Can walk along the lake to the town which is nice. Gardaland is great for the kids as @IcouldbutIdontwantto said.
My kids are 12&11 now and we would definitely return to Bella Italia.
We often Eurocamp and it's our favourite type of holiday.

Aw brill thanks everyone, so excited! Have spent ages looking at different campsites and couldn't settle but so happy to hear everyone enjoyed it! Just hope the weather is somewhat decent. Can I ask what kind of accommodation you all stayed in in and did you book through eurocamp?

also keen to go here!

Where is best to fly to and any other tips re weather ? Is it warm in May?
What are local amenities like, can you get away without a car? is there nearby supermarket ?

We stayed in a 2 bed eurocamp classic, which was fine for us space wise, but it might be a bit cramped for storage if you have both in one room.

@italyfiteve, we flew into Verona and used Garda Easy Travel for transfers. We got by fine without a car, but also didn't go very far - got the road train into peschiera a few times and took a boat out on the lake, and went to gardaland using public transport. I think there's a lidl nearby, but tbh we got everything we needed from the onsite shop - possibly more expensive but closer and a decent selection for simple meals. Can't help with May but the weather was nice in early-mid June, some rain storms but warm.

How did you get on @Tiddlesem? We have just booked for the connected hotel, with use of the campsite facilities too, for next May when we will have a 4yo and 4 month old...

Can I ask if the food is expensive here? We've only ever done All Inclusive so trying to work out which is better value..

usernotfound0000 · 05/02/2025 10:30

We've been twice and loved it. We stayed in the apartments. We last went in 2023 and didn't find food expensive. The onsite restaurants are pricier than the ones in town but we felt it was reasonable. The town has some lovely places to eat. One of my favourite places and I'm sure we'll go back at some point.
