Yelloh camp: no bedding in chalets

Anyone have experience of Yelloh camp holidays in France? I’ve just paid my balance and discovered that the chalets come without bedding and towels (extra cos 42€ double bed and 30€ per single bed)… seems a bit stingy for the price of the holiday?

This is standard for campsites in France
it should have been clear when you booked though as tick boxes come up asking which extras you want

This is usual for French campsites. And they will expect you to clean before you leave.

Yes. We stared in a Yelloh/Eurocamp/Somebody Else site in Netherlands last summer, and were astonished at how must bedding was going to cost. As we were driving, we decided to take our own.

We always used to take our own

Sometimes, I look at the next option up as more premium chalets can include extras such as bed linen and after stay cleaning, then the price differential isn't as large when you include all of those - having said that we normally go end of June/start July as we're in Ireland and kids get their school holidays before the French schools so get better deals then.

Absolutely normal. This is something that costs money and they give you the choice to take your own or pay. Given a huge percentage of people at campsites and holiday accommodation in France are from places like Belgium and Netherlands or Northern France they will inevitably take their own. Those costs sound higher than we used to pay, but everything in France has gone up a lot.
