I have just convinced dh that we need a weekend tent as our lovely vermont l takes about an hour to put up completely which makes a 1 nighter less appealing

I want a tent that has min 2 bedrooms, preferably a tunnel as it needs to be tall enough for my 6'4" dh to stand in. A SIG would be nice but not essential. Max £200.

I could of course just have a look myself but its so much more fun doing it this way

WOW Slubber thankyou PMSL at your posts Some great tents too. DH was hoggging the computer yesterday so i didn't get back on till now.

I lurve the last Vango you linked to but I don't think I can justify spending that much Very tempting though as its so ridiculously quick to put up.

dusty did you like any of the others I linked to?

I was on the cusp of buying the Vango Orchy for our w/e tent, but then I accidentally went to our local camping store and went into a Cabanon.

It's the smell. The damned luscious canvas smell.

So I bought the Guadeloupe. It's arriving on monday. I am almost beside myself with excitement.

dustystar · 09/04/2008 15:54

The cabanon looks divine but its too expensive

There were several i liked the look of. The Vango orchy, the coleman lakeside, both the esay camp ones but particuarly the Napoli 500. I liked all of them and will show dh later. I feel a trip to the local display shop coming on lol

Oh I liked the revolution scenic too

I am so tempted by the Vango one but I've already persuaded dh to get a Cadac this year and don't think he'll agree to us spending that much on a second tent as well

ooh yes hang on, there was an outdoor revolution reviewd in this months Camping Mag that was good too

Slubberdegullion · 09/04/2008 16:01

Scenic Premium 4

Sorry that is not a great link. Camping magazine gave it 9/10 but said it would be cramped for 4.

dustystar · 09/04/2008 16:03

It looks nice but I think i prefer the others you showed me.

I've a bone to pick with you dusty ! You said that I needed a big tent and here you are looking for little ones

We all went to look for a camping table at the weekend so DH can start working in the shed (poor sod!) so went to the place we went to and the one out near Moors Valley. I was really good and didn't mention trailer tents. Guess what, the rest of them fell in love with them and all want one now. The Moors Valley place also has Cadacs if you are still looking.

dustystar · 09/04/2008 16:42

Do they? Excellent. I do need my big tent chocolateteapot but it takes an hour to put up and put away so want a second smaller one for short breaks. You don't think thats greedy do you?????

OP posts:
Chocolateteapot · 09/04/2008 16:57

Now you see the putting up bit still makes me panic ! I liked those pop up ones Lucycat linked to, even I could cope with that I think.

Actually, maybe you shouldn't go the Moors Valley one, they have loads of gorgeous Cabanon ones......

dustystar · 09/04/2008 16:58

LOL now you know dh will not let me have one of those. Maybe we can go over together one day next week.

Chocolateteapot · 09/04/2008 16:59

Go on then, twist my arm !

Chocolateteapot · 09/04/2008 17:01

I will end up coming back with a sodding Cadac won't I ?!

Can I just go off topic for a moment, I have just been to see DD's teacher. She feels has made really excellent progress this year and as things stand she's not going back onto the active SN register for transfer in September.

dustystar · 09/04/2008 17:01

lol - i'll call you. Got to go now and do baking with dd

I need to see if I can get the airbed back in the bag, could be some time. Happy baking.

dustystar · 09/04/2008 17:07

airbed?

OP posts:
Chocolateteapot · 09/04/2008 17:19

I bought the Queen sized one (but was £28) and some sleeping bags, which also shot up in price just after I ordered. The bed is really comfy, good thing we did get a big tent
