Anyone else really ally dissapointed in the bloody forecast for next week?

We were so looking forward to our break, but even I'm not mad enough to tent camp in a thunderstorm. 😔

It’s so tedious now. I really feel for everyone who’s booked camping trips for half term week. Surely by the end of May you should be pretty safe to go away. I’ve got one trip booked so far in mid July but all my others will be last minute as the weather is so bloody unpredictable.

I was supposed to be in my little caravan in Pembrokeshire this week - have never been so glad to have my annual leave cancelled due to a work crisis than I am now

We are going to watch the weather and might go a day later but it's not looking good.

Don't feel as though we can cancel as we'll be letting them down. Going to bail after 2 nights though if it's miserable!

I’m fuming. Last year when May half term was so warm we decided to book a week camping in the Llyn Peninsula from this Tuesday for a week. The weather is looking cold and wet and I’m so annoyed. We’ve had some lovely warm weather recently but it’s rubbish now. I’m trying not to be negative but it’s hard. I’ve packed loads of sweatshirts and warm stuff.

We were camping on the Llyn last May half term and it was glorious. This year we're in Devon and it's payback time - only been here two days and I'm already so damp and chilly. Forecast until midweek is awful but we're going to stick it out if we can. I really should have packed a hot water bottle though!

Love camping in the rain! So cozy when you're tucked up and the rain's on the canvas. I appreciate it's miserable if you're stuck in with muddy miserable cold kids though

We've made the decision to cut our losses! No fun stuck in a damp tent cold when I could be at home in my own bed warm and cosy!

If it were just DH and I we would likely have gone with the little 4 man and packing light. But it's just too much hard work with kids all the packing and setting up to not enjoy ourselves.

Fair enough, I think it's probably a good decision. It's not meant to be an endurance mission! So disappointing for you :( Will you get another chance later in the year?

I don't normally camp 1st weekend of May because weather to patchy but i usually feel it's safe enough by end of May - weather this year has been totally rubbish :(

I’m heading to Anglesey tomorrow. I’m gutted. I’m taking the van instead of a tent because I need to pack down and go straight to work on Friday. I don’t have the time or patience to dry a tent out.

We camp this week every year- it’s usually gorgeous weather ☹️.

So pissed off last week when looked at weather. We've had heatwaves before. But it hasn't been too bad. So far.....

The weather is why we bought a cheap caravan, kept us dry and warm in all weathers even in winter
