Anyone got a Berlingo / Peugeot partner type micro-camper?

I've currently got a semi-converted Vivaro with a fold-out bed. I really need a smaller vehicle (and also something more fuel efficient), but I love being able to sleep in my van at events, festivals etc. I'm wondering if this would be the answer, probably a Partner Tepee with something like an Amdro or Campal removable conversion set-up, & I'd love to hear any experiences of them.

Would sometimes be just me, sometimes me + DP. Fortunately neither of us is very tall, which I guess would be one possible issue.

There is a micro campers Facebook group, have you looked there?

Thanks all - a friend of mine also recommended the micro campers FB group, so I'll check that out. She says there's also often 2nd hand options for sale on there which is definitely a good thought.

Check out the Nissan NV200. I think it has the biggest internal space: external size ratio of any small van, and a 1.5 engine (or there's an electric option. )

Guess what I've got?! 😆

I've got a Berlingo with a boot jump. I like it a lot - it's very easy to get away for a few days. I use it with a driveaway tailgate awning for longer trips. It's cheap to run and insure, and easy to park. I need 4 belted seats during the week so having a boot jump was the easiest way to do that. But if I only needed 2 belted seats, I'd quite fancy a converted NV200. Check out the Women with Microcampers FB page, it's very helpful.

Hello! I'm bumping this thread, as I'm thinking about getting a micro camper. Have never had one before and I'm occurred to hear about any tips / warnings!

I'm looking for something pretty minimal - a cosy place for a brew and a pot noodle, then bed after a day in the hills.

Ah I think they look lovely, but I know a few people who have found them to be absolute money pits!

Are you looking for mini, micro or even nano camper?
mini = Berlingo or Astra Zafira/Ford Galaxy type
micro = Golf class
nano = Fiat 500 and smaller
While you can build a permanent interior for the mini class, for micro and nano campers boxes are generally easier to handle as storage and bed base. There are even Euroboxes with side access, so you can have kind of a cupboard. Micro and nano often require the removal of (front) seats to allow for a bed longer than 150 cm.
