It’s our first time, wondering what to expect. Anything (apart from the obvious) to bring?

Yep. If you're willing to buy all your food there - and you can - you really have to bring very little. we take a camping stove to make pasta for kids and coffee etc in the morning but there's a coffee shop / bakery (although queues are long).

We go with friends who have zero camping gear (and hire the bell tents) whereas we have loads of camping gear and take our own tent. All of us do fine!

We used to go when it was a quiet farm field, last time we went it was enormous and busy with tons of food outlets and had lost that simple camping vibe - depends what you want

It is like this now but that's what makes it a very easy site to go to especially if you're not used to camping. Pretty sure there are plenty of sites close by that don't have all the food trucks etc.

We went last year with a group of friends and had a great time. It was much busier than I expected but good facilities on site (if you can get in).

We are all booked, so no worries there

It sounds fantastic!

Early August, are you?

@CorBlimeyGovnr same. Fingers crossed for good weather. We've had one good year and one bad year weather wise. Kids have enjoyed it regardless.

We’re also going early August! First time for us as well. We fancy a site that’s a bit more lively than our usual basic camping, although we’re not going as a group. I’m looking forward to it! I plan to sit outside my tent drinking wine and people watching.

I believe the sea view fields don’t allow cars so we’ll probably go for one of the other fields as I like having the car nearby.
