Revelations Under the Stars

Last weekend, I went camping in an unassuming corner of England, just me, my tent, and a sky adorned with stars. That night, I learned something more profound than anything I could find in books or online. Without signal, no emails, no social media distractions, it was just me and nature. Suddenly, I realized how insignificant our daily pursuits seem in the face of the natural world. That night, I had a conversation with myself, pondering what truly matters. Is it that job, that project, or is it giving ourselves time to feel, to experience, to live in the moment?

And crawling on the planets surface
some insects called the human race
Lost in time
lost in space
And meaning

Such a meaningful experience, @iceferris! It's so easy to get caught up in everyday life but experiences like that, unplugging under a sky full of stars, really help put everything in perspective. Thanks for sharing - it's a good reminder for us all to slow down and appreciate the simple beauty in nature.

This is why I go camping.

To quiet off-grid sites with loads of space between tents, cook on my fire, and just ‘be’.

Respect to you for camping at this time of year. I would but I have a canvas tent and nowhere to dry it when it comes home a bit damp, as it would in winter.
