Anyone have these Outwell tents?

I really like the look of Vermont XL but am worried it will be too big for campsite pitches. Anyone got any experience?

Was thinking of Montana 6 but now thinking too small with 3 kids as they get bigger.

We have the outwell indiana 8 which we think is fab.
There are 5 of us and there is plenty of room for us (ds13, dd12,ds8). We have never had any probs fitting onto a pitch. We put a wind break around the front and do cooking under the canopy. Monty is a lovely tent and if they made it in an 8 man we would probably have bought it but the 6 man was just too small. Having said that we do love our tent and it stood up to all of the wind and rain last year with no leaks.

YEs, that looks a nice one.

Having looked again, I am veering towards Vermont XL though so just wondering if anyone has one. THey didn't have one up on display at the shop we went to.

Another vote for the Indiana 8. We were new to camping last year, and ours also stood up to the wind and rain, whilst the tent next to us was completely flooded! We also have 3dc (ds9, dd7, ds4).
Starting to get excited about the thought of being able to go out in it again soon

Novicecamper - where are you? Only asking cos Yeomans do outdoor shows and they usually have a good selection of outwells on show, thats where we saw ours. The only negative about the vermont we found was that we wanted a canopy to cook under and the one on the vermont seemed a bit flimsy.
Have you watched the pitching video to get some idea of how it looks?

Hi Feelingold - we are in the North West. I've had a look at the listings for shows but there are none coming up that we can get to.

Yes, have had a look at the pitching video - however, the one for the XL is actually a L when they pitch it. It doesn't really show you the small bedroom, it just shows you that you can take it down! Ha ha!

The 2 bedrooms which are side by side in ours are about 180cm wide each, we have a double airbed in one (for me and dh) and there is about 10cm gap each side of it and we have 2 camp beds in the other one (for 2 ds) and there is enough room for them to walk in down the middle of them and get dressed in there etc. Hope that helps a bit in how the sizing of the rooms are.

We have an outwell colorado (sleeps 8) two sections at either end and space in the middle to mess in. One of the ends can be together as a big double.

WE have 2 dcs and we slept with the in the big double bit and chucked luggage/food in one of the other ends.

It was fab.

Easy to put up, like piss easy. Did it first time with dcs running/crawling around us in about 15 mins (and we took it down once and started again )

We too thought it was too big. BUT. It really wasn't, there are just some big arse tents about, and tbh ours looked fairly modest amongest them.

Hi Slur - I can only find an Outwell Colorado 7 man tunnel tent - is that the one?
