Hello!
I've been camping in the past but I'm not a camper... it's not been regular. But I'd love my family to become a camping family and want to buy a tent for some weekends this summer. We're a 3 person family, myself, my partner and our 16 month old.
The requirements are:
- easy to pitch
- blackout bedrooms
- 4 person minimum - ideally I'd like a 4.5 or 5 person, 6 probably a little bigger than needed
- possible to stand up in
- under £500 - ideally I'd be able to get a footprint and carpet for that too.
I'm intrigued by the air tents, and know they meet the easy pitch requirements, but are also more expensive and much bigger packed (we don't have a big boot but might get a roof box).
My partner is going to want to spend the minimum amount of money and I can imagine him saying why do we need a 4 person when there's 3 of us? Whereas I want something affordable but that has a little room to grow with us.
Help me oh wise ones!
