Campsite with lovely farm and stream

Hello,

I'm looking for some good recommendations for a lovely, friendly campsite with a farm and perhaps a stream/lake we can swim in. We're in a tent! I'm a single mum with one daughter, we like social campsites where we can both make friends.

Last year we stayed in a campsite which was in a field, the centre of the field had no tents which made it a perfect play area. This worked really well for us!

We're in the South, in Essex, happy to travel up to 2ish hours to find a nice place 😊

Many thanks!

Snellings Farm in Dorset is as you describe. The (very shallow, very popular with kids!) river is about 5 minutes walk away.

Eweleze is great and next to the beach with animals the DC can hold and dogs they can walk. It's kind of perfect
