Best camping meals you have had

I have camped for years, so I have my go to menus, but I'd like to branch out a bit for this next trip.
We will be hiking in to our site, but will have a fair amount of space as we are bringing wagons along with our packs.
There is a food cache where we will be so the food can stay bear safe, but there will be no way to keep it cool.
We will have a two burner propane stove with us, and hope to have a fire as well, depending on how dry it has been.

So far, we have enjoyed basic soups, stews, beans etc, but would like to try some new things as well.
Any suggestions? And any dehydrated foods/meals to avoid?

Quesadillas: sandwich soft tortillas together with cheese / tuna/ pouch of refried beans, whatever you like, dry fry in a frying pan, cut into quarters.

Vacuum packed tortellini and pesto

Best camping meal ever was beef fillet cooked on the campfire.

We will be bringing a Dutch oven for sure, some fabulous ideas here! We got he new tent and set it up in the yard to see how it is for size, I'm so excited! It has a stove inside, plus we will have a propane one burner, and (fire ban permitting) a campfire for cooking options

Got my eye on that camembert business. Yes, I am placemarking.

Sardines caught from the sea, gutted and on the charcoal barbecue within 30 minutes. French bread and unsalted butter, squeeze of lemon, green salad with olive oil and vinegar. One of the best meals I've ever had, let alone camping meals.

I'd make a georgous stew and put it into freezer bag in a pot before freezing. Then just put it in the wagon just in the bag. It'll defrost as you walk into base then continue as you set up. Be just ready for heating by the time you're ready to sit.
I always take the first two nights dinner like this - once cooked at home I bag it and put the bag in a large jug then into the freezer. Then lift the bag out of the jug to transport it. We take a chiller box so the second meal stays ok for the second night.
Rice made with stock instead of water, and slowly cooked in a pot tightly sealed with foil has a beautiful texture.

The freezing stew at home is a genius idea!
@SophieIsHereToday it is a Fire Hiking tent brand, with the screen room insert.

Not camping but bivvying, just sleeping bags and survival bags. Walked all day carrying all our kit and dined on heated up baked beans and a chunk of cheddar cheese each. Dipped the cheese in the beans. If there was bread I don't remember it. Over 30 years ago, salivating now.

I think everything is better outdoors.
Food tastes better, sleeping is better (after the first week adjusting) , even reading is nicer out in the hammock vs the living room couch.

Chicken supreme

can of chicken meat
can of condensed cream of chicken soup
quick cook rice

heat chicken with soup diluted only a half with water (so for every 1 can of soup only add half a can of water)
stir vigorously so that the chicken shreds
cook rice
serve and mix into a slop on your plate
food of the gods after a day of hiking and v easy prep and clean up

if you want to do it at home with fresh chicken, its really good too, just cook the chicken through before adding the soup mix
