Just wondering how you got on, best suppliers of fittings and before and after picks would be fantastic. I need inspiration as I may be about to part with cash for a van.

How does the insurance pan out on these?? Don't you have to re register the vehicle and all that?

I don't know about re-regestering but I did get a quote from a company quite happy to insure what I was getting a quoate for as a van, but if it was a camper they didn't cover it. Not sure what is the deciding factor to make it a camper as I would be using a matress and camp cooker in an awning to start with.

Think I will be buying a 1.9 LDV Pilot tomorrow, old post van with 3 properly fitted, but removable seats inthe back, has a little kitchen unit (also removable) and a bench (removable). Are you getting the theme here. The guy that has it is a bit handy (sacks and sandals) and has everything all worked out. It seems well looked after and the price is fab, including a drive away awning and other stuff.

It is more of a camping companion / day van. Which is what I was wanting really, kids inthe awning, me int he van .

That would be socks and sandals.

Any tips for things to look out for on a 1999 LDV van appreciated.
