Tent wise. We are off to Silverstone. Myself, DH, DS and my nephew. DS and nephew are 17 and 18.

I am not sure if I should buy one big tent - I’d want bedrooms at either end or, buy 2 x 2 person tents and use a gazebo we have between the tents for table and chairs etc.

I have never camped since the guides in the 80s but I have been buying bits and pieces on and off for the last few months. The tent is next. Also, would you recommend a blow up mattress or camp beds? Which is comfiest. We are going for 5 nights.

For 5 days I would get something you could stand up in for you adults.

I would be tempted by this combo, both v good value:

Also with a Gazebo or tarp. Then the teens would have a festival tent for future use.

Agh, the smaller tent is out of stock. Something similar. But a good make, not a cheapo brand from Amazon.

Maybe the Rydal for you and this for the teens: https://www.millets.co.uk/16231965/eurohike-sendero-4-family-tent-16231965/?istCompanyId=b238823a-59fd-4816-9c36-7dd47877f2a8&istFeedId=10c66450-32f1-4186-aab2-57cecab8b383&istItemId=rxirqritl&istBid=t&gclid=EAIaIQobChMI2tDc5N3O_gIVjMftCh10JgODEAQYCiABEgK7GPD_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds

You could get one big tent and Millets have a 6 Berth tent with bedrooms at each end for a good price, but would you get further use out of it? Will you be doing other camping trips?

But my choice would be teens and their clutter, mess and trainers in a separate tent. Also in case you come and go at different times of night and morning.

Sleeping is a very individual preference. We sleep on SIMs (self inflating mats), anything from 5Cms is fine.

Others like a foam mat on a camp bed, or blow up. You would probably need mats for them if you get a low tent for the teens.
