There was one overlooking Padstow when we went this year, just a basic sight with beautiful views- think its called 'dennis cove'.

ladytophamhatt · 14/02/2008 16:47

Thanks Emma, that one looks good but is closed atm so we can't find out prices/availability etc which is really stupid!!

Come on campers, where are you all>? I can't believe me and TE are the only ones here right now.

How small do you want?

There is a website here called Small campsites which may be of use but you'll have to do some more research as they don't seem to link to websites.

Good Luck btw in finding a quiet campsite in N Cornwall!!

Have you tried the C&C Club website for their Club sites?

IamTooSexyForMyName · 14/02/2008 16:49

We go to Cornwall a couple of times a year. Am not sure about North Cornwall.....dont really even know which part we go to, lol!!

We stay in a village in St Agnes, near to Truro, Newquay, Gwithian etc...all have campsites and are near beaches???

ladytophamhatt · 14/02/2008 16:50

ladytophamhatt · 14/02/2008 17:03

Lucycat, I could kiss you!!

dh ahs been trawling the internet all afternoon to find somewhere, I told him to let me ask MN but as per usual with DH
MN is the root of all evil and should be banished to deepest depths of hell.

Hahahahah, the first one on the list from your link is prefect!!!!!

there was a good thread on here a while back about precisely the same thing - I pointed to a few then (in fact one is on my profile pics) - will try to find it!

Wisteria · 14/02/2008 17:06

here you go

Lucycat · 14/02/2008 17:31

aww shucks LTH

I've just checked it out and it does look lovely - shame there are no recent reviews on ukcamping.

When are you thinking of going?

ladytophamhatt · 14/02/2008 19:43

Ok, dennis cove is fully bookied.

tiredemma · 15/02/2008 07:25

Oh thats a shame- we didnt camp as we had rented a house in the town but friends of ours stayed on the campsite. They really rated it.

One for the future perhaps?

serin · 15/02/2008 20:35

Have you tried Camping and caravanning club sites?

Other than those I can only think of Glenmorris.co.uk. (sorry, am rubbish at links) its near a village called St Mabyn.
Might be a bit inland for you but the staff were lovely and friendly and swiftly evicted the one family who were a bit rowdy!
There is an outdoor swimming pool and separate toddlers pool (both very clean) and childrens play area and they didn't seem to mind toddlers on bikes either.

sparklesandwine · 15/02/2008 20:57

We've stayed at this site in Bude which is lovely and also this site in Veryan but this one might be too far south

Camping and Caravanning club is a good place to start either that or settle on the town/village you want to stay in and then check for any sites round that way, Good Luck!

Have you looked on UK Campsite? It has links to the websites and reviews, so you should be able to sort the quiet sites out from the noisy ones.

MehgaLegs · 15/02/2008 21:05

It looks hell but we went last year and it was fab with the kids.
