Porch/awning for Air Seconds 4.2

Hi, I'm planning my summer holiday and thinking about what I haven't had in the past and wished I did.

I have a Decathlon Air Seconds 4.2 tent and my parents gave me a tarp when I got it, but I've never really got to grips with getting it up and keeping it up. I know other people do it, but I just can't seem to get it right.

Has anyone found an awning or porch that works well with this tent?

It's just me and DC (14, 11) so we don't need the extra space as such, but it's nice to be able to have a bit of shade outdoors on a sunny day or a bit of protection from the rain on a wet day.

I'm looking at the Eurohike Genus canopy and wondering if it would work well. I'm sure other people must use something, but am drawing a complete blank on Google.

Thanks!

How did your search go? I see Decathlon have brought out an Air Seconds Living Areas for £329 but that seems far too expensive to meet our needs! Would love an update on your search a year on

@ECM85 sorry, I was on holiday in my air tent and missed your question!

I bought a secondhand Eurohike genus porch. It came with clips to help fit it to the Eurohike tent. My Decathlon tent doesn't have the clips, but I managed to buy some the same size from Amazon and attach them around my air poles.

It can be a bit flappy, but I think that's probably because I have it quite far out. If I settled for a shorter porch, it would flap less. The way I have it, rain does trickle under if it's heavy. Again, if I set it up further back then that wouldn't happen (I don't think).

It was enough for the shade/shelter I was looking for.
