Our Tent Is Broken :-((((( Dh Says Fix It!!! I Want A New One! Help Me!!

Ok we have a suncamp 12 xp thing which is a pain in the arse to put up.

The inner zip to the main area is broke and its a huge zip, some of the fibreglass poles have split and when it's put up it sags horrible
I hate it but dh loves it
He says fix it but is it worth it?
We bought it from Ebay for £77 and have used it 3 times.

Now I really want another one, one thats easier to put up but large enough for 7 of us and it will have to be second hand as money is very tight

So...... help me??? NOW

It sounds beyond repair to me.
If you buy new look at Coleman tents. We have had ours 7 years, used between 1 and 3 times every year and it is still going strong, very easy to put up ,has had some of the stretchy stuff inside the poles replaced but apart from that very good tent.
My friend got one like it on ebay last year for about £100 otherwise cost new would be over £200.

You can get replacement poles. Not sure about the zip but if its an inner it should be easier to fix than on the flysheet.

Its got to be bigger At least a 9-10 berth.

And have a sewn in groundsheet

A Gelert Tahoma 9? they are £189 on here, but there doesn't seem to be a picture - they also do a 10 berth but I can't see if it says whether it has a sig. tis here a Gelert Michigan 10.

Argos have a 3 bedroom / 9 person tent for £150

Cybercheckout have very cheap large tents. I have used them for other stuff and they are reliable for delivery etc, but no idea what these tents are actually like.

Thanks girls but none of them have sewn in ground sheet in the living area.

Will have to resort to Ebay again

The Gelert Tahoma says it does
'Sewn in groundsheet prevents unwanted drafts or bugs'

Too expensive, but I can keep an eye out on ebay. Its just knowing which ones are easy to put up.

Those which are mainly a tunnel in design tend to be quicker to put up - a lot now have a tunnel main bit and then bedroom pods coming off.
