DH and I are virgin holiday park goers bt we are thinking of trying this park with DD (15 months)in June. Can anyone give their views esp

  1. Is this park close enough to Shanklin town

  2. Is it worth paying extra for Gold mobile home, and will we be able to put the std travel cot in one of the bedrms and not the living room?

Thanks - its a much needed holiday so want to get it right!

We've been there once, we prefer Nodes Point (same group, different part of Island) but lower hyde must have been fine as it inspired us to return to the group many times LOL!

  1. Pretty close, could walk or cycle if you wanted (I thnk- was very close to the one town anyway, whether it was Sandown or Shanklin cant quite recall, but one with a nice beach etc)

  2. Oh yes! First year at nodes we had a bronze caravan booked- yuck! (we now camp there). We were relocated to a Gold and it was fantastic- think we may have a photo or two if you CAT me. Lovely to sit out on the patio of a morning reading the paper and eating breakfast, or drinking a glass of wine in the evening.

  3. Not sure about the cot- worth giving them a ring. poeple there are very helpful- called them because our tent is bigger than their allocated pitch sizes this year and we cant reduce size (SN kids)- they offered us 2 pitches at no extra cost! And a few years ago ds2 (The only NT one) had a thinga bout their camp characted Sparky, and because he'd been godd we promised we'd e-mail Sparkky to say () and when they heard about how patient ds2 was with 2 disabled brothers, Sparky came over for a special visit and to spend time which was lovely for him

How lovely of Sparky!. Thanks so much for all your comments really helpful - I can breath a sigh of relief - we've had some really lousy hols in the past!

Will CAT you for those photos as well.
