Camping alone with kids- site recommendations please

Where would you go if you were a relatively novice camper but wanting to take 3 kids away alone?

I have more holiday than DH so am trying to plan a cheap trip with the kids alone and they love camping.

Glamping would be the easy option but expensive.

Can anyone recommend somewhere to go within about 1.5 hours of S london? I'm thinking somewhere quiet and safe that doesn't get rowdy but with decent toilet block.

Thank you for your advice!

There are a couple of decent sites near Calais with pool and good toilet blocks, if you want to go across the channel

How about Paulton’s pre erected tents? www.paultonscampsite.com/pre-erected-tents

Thanks both! I def don’t want to travel to France and although paulton’s looks great I definitely won’t manage the theme park alone so will have to give that a miss this time.

Wowo , full of families, woods, campfires etc

Kingsdown near Deal,

Nethergong near Herne Bay

Blackberry Wood near Brighton

Palace Farm (animals to pet)

Bedgebury near Battle, Bodiam Castle, Bedgebury Pinetum (with bike trails) Bodiam Biat Station (kayak hire )

Welsummer (near Leeds Castle, a ticket is for a year, plenty to occupy them on several day trips).

All these are ‘back to basics’ type sites.

Lots of places: search Pitch Up.
