Maybe bigger than what you’re looking for, but definitely recommend Camping le Lac d’Orient. Loads of green space and a lovely atmosphere

We’re currently staying here… www.campingmarcenaylac.com/site/index.php

Not to everyone’s taste as it’s rustic and a bit dated. Not your typical holiday park like eurocamp!

But it has a small pool , play are, big indoor play space and lots of musical instruments.

It’s quiet and really chilled.

Just turn up, no booking. Cost is 55€ for 2 nights

Plus free wifi

No pool, it we used the Municipal campsite at Metz when returning from Strasbourg, could be on your route? Very cheap and in the middle of the town so lots of restaurants to choose from and somewhere to explore.
Its green and on the banks of the Moselle.

When we drive back from the Swiss border to Calais we had a very nice night in a hostel in Bruges. Cheap, comfortable and a wonderful breakfast included

We love La Croix du vieux pont campsite which is near Soissons.

It's a big site but plenty of peaceful parts to it and it has both an indoor and outdoor pool.

www.eurocamp.co.uk/campsites/paris/pa012-la-croix-du-vieux-pont/ataglance.html

It's a three hour drive from Calais, but an 8 hour drive from your start point.

No pool, but we always use the municipal campsite in Beaune. The lost incredible walled town, lovely bistros etc.
