I need some camping gear inspiration 😄🏕.

I quite fancy some solar lights or a solar panel. Or a new tent, but I don't need one really.

My new tent arrived yesterday! 3 weeks in the south of France in a heatwave has finally finished off our old Outwell Nevada M so I took the plunge and now we have a MASSIVE new tent. Hello Outwell Vermont 7pe! It’s almost comically enormous for three people, we definitely need a roof box now.

Our electric coolbox appears to be giving up the ghost (but is at least 8 years old). DH has just bought a camping fridge so it can cope with hotter summers. We pick it up later so will update on how it does as we ate currently camping.

I just got a fleecy mummy sleeping bag liner from Go Outdoors. I am one of those people who has a 4-season sleeping bag and still freezes overnight in the middle of a normal summer so I'm hoping this solves the problem! Ironically we're not going away this year so I can't test it yet...

OK, now I want a 4 season sleeping bag 😄.

Actually, I forgot that I also bought a new sleeping bag this year - a 3 season envelope style one. I have a lovely 4 season mummy one that I can never sleep in as I am too restricted and I felt so guilty coveting a better one for me when DH had been so thoughtful getting that for me. But then I realised I was getting nowehere near enough sleep in a tent and that, as most of those nights were away with my Cub Scouts (and I am the one they wake in the middle of the night as the only "mammy"), I really needed to sleep well and be on form for whatever mischief or excitement they threw my way in the hours of daylight, let alone the hours of darkness!!

Despite a LOT of rain on camp this year, meaning I never bothered getting my campbed out of the car as everything was so late getting set up, I just slept on my SIM on the ground but had room to roll and kick and be comfortable. So I SLEPT!!!! (For the few hours I wasn't dealing with a seriously homesick Cub that I couldn't get hold of parents to reassure).

A camp bed from Decathlon for DD. Expensive at 60 euro, but fingers crossed worth the cost instead of endless replacement of airbeds!

Moving on from air beds is practically a camping right of passage 😄.
