Blackout tents and camping with babies

Hi. We're relatively new to camping and was wondering if you had any recommendations for a blackout air tent please? It's for 2 adults and one baby (15 months) so we'd like some extra room too.

Also, does anyone have any tips or must haves for camping with a 15 month old in the UK? Thank you!

We have a Berghaus Telstar nightfall tent which is really good. Ours is an 8man tent as there are 6 of us and 2 dogs but I believe they do smaller ones. It’s an air tent which I find much sturdier in wind & rain, and relatively easily to put up. It is very dark so the kids don’t wake up as early. It is heavy though. We also have a Vango
pole tent which I use if I take my 4dc away without the kids as it’s lighter and easier to move without DH.

A travel cot. Or a tent with a sleep pod where the zips can be done up upwards, out of reach of the child, so that you know they cannot escape the tent while you are asleep.

Agree with a travel cot. You can then use it to store things in during the day, as most stuff ends up on the floor when camping, and my toddler gets into everything!
I've been looking at air tents recently and they are very bulky and heavy, so I'd think about how much room you'd have in the car. We've now invested in a roof box thanks to camping! And I would recommend getting the footprint and tent carpet when you've got little ones, to make it more comfortable.
