Beach camping UK

Does anyone know of anywhere in the UK (preferably Wales/Devon/Dorset but open to other suggestions) that you can camp literally on the beach/in the dunes – or very, very close? We've got a medium-sized family tent and would need toilets/showers but not much else. Doesn't need to be fancy. I've been googling, but not coming up with much!
Or, possibly, a cabin/cottage on the beach that doesn't cost the earth!
Thank you :)

Nicholaston Farm is lovely, the most magical walk through sandy woodland to the beach (quiet end of Oxwich Bay). This is our fallback plan if I can't find the illusive camping on the beach experience!

How about white sands beach, St David’s.

or Lepe Beach, on the Solent www.eazycamp.co.uk/lepe-beach/lepe-overview.html

or in Northumberland there is hemscott Hill.

you really need to go to France though, this was our pitch the other week!

Not actually on.the beach but the two closest I've been to are Gupton Farm above Freshwater west in Pembs, which is great but uphill from the beach, and one in port Eynon on the Gower but that was decades ago so don't know what it's like now. A quick Google suggests the one I'm remembering is called Skysea.

Newgale in Pembrokeshire is lovely. However, told you want remote and nobody else then you'll have to go to Scotland as you can wild camp there. It's fab
