OOh, WA - I know a family (or 2) who sailed that way as a result of Covid, and my next big purchase is a boat (DH promised I could expedite it if I got the promotion at work, to encourage me to do well - I think he's regretting that idea now as it means he needs to learn some sailing stuff sooner than he had hoped!! ).
But if I have a few to crew, we can have a long expedition down, stopping en route to use our existing camping gear, and after an outback adventure, restock properly (including new gear we've discovered works better) and head back home, testing and trialling as we go!
