Sleeping bag for teen

Hi, Could I please have a recommendation for sleeping bag. My son went for scout camp night with season 2/3 summit sleeping bag and even though they were sleeping indoors, he was freezing. He wants to join them again in Easter for outdoor sleeping and I need a recommendation from you guys for a warm sleeping bag which is not too expensive. Maximum budget is £100. Thanks 🙏

If space and weight isn't an issue, you could go for one of alpkits 4 season sleeping bags alpkit.com/products/cloud-peak-400. My daughter has the Skye high 500 (3 season but much lighter and smaller) which is a tenner more - we've slept outside in the frost but using a sleeping bag liner and lots of clothes!

If your trying to keep weight down would a silk liner help plus a decent undermat to stop cold coming up even the cheap reflective survival ’blankets’ help under a bag. To get 4-season and lightweight will probably cost more £s. I’ve got an old 4-season bag I bought 20yrs ago in USA it’s amazing and still going strong so warm my teen keeps trying to nick it Grin but it’s not that compact to get down in a compression sack so not ideal for back packing but fine for car camping.

Look at the ones recommended for Duke of Ed in Go Outdoors etc, they usually have a good deal on the D of E recommended ones and if he's getting into Scouting, he'll probably do Duke of Ed too.
