Booked & payed to take our new caravan for first outing tomorrow & the weekend. Looking at the weather it's going to be a no go isn't it?
Considering just cancelling or going tonight a day early to avoid travelling in the wind?

Winds and caravans are a no from me

Booked for 3 nights on the coast, had one night last night and decided to come home. When we set-off it was still a yellow warning for tomorrow, by the time we arrived it was amber and the forecast gusts were increasing. Site were very good about it, and even credited our unused nights for future use.

As we packed up I was amazed at a caravan that turned up and started to pitch. Looked like they were getting ready to put up an inflatable awning too!

I wouldn't head anywhere tomorrow (Friday). Saturday doesn't look much better for potential crosswinds when driving.

Red weather warnings where I am at the moment. No way I would go anywhere in a caravan right now.

First trip in a new caravan? No way, I wouldn’t even attempt it to be honest. You will have lots of opportunities to have break owning a caravan, so to miss one that you have booked isn’t too bad OP.

Mixed feelings really if it says don't travel then don't.
We have had some great adventures with the kids in bad weather its about making good use of the limited free time we all have.
