Kids sleeping bags

My DD is doing a sleepover with Cubs inside so not camping. We are also going camping in May and plan to start doing more now our youngest is a bit older.

We need a sleeping bag. She's a wriggler so not convinced that the mummy style sleeping bags would work. She also tall at 145cm age 9. So would we be better off getting her an adult sleeping bag for her to grow into? Most of the kids ones I see are only 160cm long.

Would greatly appreciate any suggestions from seasoned campers!!

Yes at that age I would definitely get her a decent adult sleeping bag. The Pod style ones are wider and less constricting.

We have the pod style from go outdoors, lots of wriggle room. The kids ones are very short so I'd go for adult size

For a 9yo i would definitely get an adult sleeping bag.

The pod ones mentioned above are great - we’ve just got an adult one for our 8 year old as she’s tall and the kids one was getting a little bit short for her. Now she has lots of room.

Get an adult size and fold the bottom end under to make it shorter. Less air space to warm up so it warms up quicker. Nights can still be very cold, even in May!

Thank you everyone! Will def get an adult one then and will have a look at what you have all suggested.

And try to get a cotton lined one... so much warmer and more comfy and less slippy
Vango do great ones
