Do they make a big worth it difference?

I usually take My superking duvet to festivals but really trying to pack light(er) this time so contemplating a sleeping bag. Birthday next week so happy to splash if it makes a good difference

I bought some off Amazon - they were just cotton oblongs and cost about £8 each! Absolutely perfect for lining a sleeping bag and adding an extra layer of warmth 😁

Thanks @blobby10 - just bought a new mummy sleeping bag & it's somewhat a snug fit so not sure if even have room for a liner after all 😬

*@buckeejit * My mum always insisted on us using sleeping bag liners when we were kids in the 70s so she didn't have to wash the sleeping bags after the holiday! I followed the same principle with my kids simply because I'm too lazy to wash the sleeping bags Grin

What's the insulation material in your sleeping bag? Silk is one of the best liners as it's very light, packs small and excellent for warmth to weight ration. Like cotton it's a breathable fabric. Mixed fibres can be warmer, and you can get some very warm lightweight ones, but not as breathable as cotton or silk so if you get hot, you are likely to sweat, the sweat cools and you end up cold.
much depends on what type of camping and what type of sleeping bag you have.
