We're off glamping on Saturday. We'll have a BBQ and firepit and we're looking forward to some outdoor cooking!
Has anyone got any good recipes please? Obviously, we're planning to toast marshmallows and make s'mores, and do chocolate bananas and baked potatoes in the coals but it would be great to do something a bit more interesting too

Stockbrot.

Get some ripe oranges and a packet of instant chocolate sponge cake mix. Cut the tops of the oranges off, scoop out the pulp and squeeze the juice into the cake mix packet.

Put a couple of tablespoons cake mixture into each hollowed out orange and put the “lid” back on. Stand in the embers to bake.

Upgrade chocolate bananas by putting Rolos or galaxy caramel in instead of buttons.

Have you got a cast iron pot such as a le Creuset?

You can do all sorts with one of those in the embers: stew, a roast chicken, apple crumble.

A proper ‘Dutch Oven’ is best because they have little legs to stand them in the fire and a flat lid to put a few coals on top to bake or roast.

Stockbrot and chocolate oranges added to the list, thanks!
I do have a large Le Creuset casserole, will have to see if it'll fit into the car boot...
