Help! How to stay cool in high temps this weekend?

So usually when I go camping I'm used to cool, drizzly, windy with some sunny intervals type weather but this weekend it's due to be full sunshine and around 25-28 degrees Shock

What are your best tips for staying cool please?

I think the bit I'm dreading most is pitching the tent in that heat and full-on sun

Cover your tent with one of those huge emergency foil space blankets (shiny side up).
Position the door of your tent towards the wind to allow it to blow into your tent.
If you have a small tent, try to pitch it where the shade will be in the afternoon.
Pick up a cheap battery powered hand-held fan.
Use wet towels or t-shirts and wrap them across your shoulders or over your head. This will help bring your body temperature down.

Oh yes, I might work out the shadier spots (based on hedges, trees, which part would get sunrise etc) by looking on Google maps aerial view.
That's of course if we get a choice of pitch which we might not.

Damp towels is a great idea. Thank you
