Any recommendations for 8 person tent?

Looking to buy a tent for the 6 of us to go camping. Want something that can easily accommodate us all with decent living space. Have been researching but it is so hard to know what is good. Have looked at Kyham and Berghaus. The Khyam looks amazing but has terrible reviews. Anyone got any advice on which brand is good, don't want to make such a big purchase and end up with rubbish! Thanks.

We have the Kampa Croyde 8. It’s huge. We have the old version with poles, which are heavy and it takes a while to put up but I expect there’s an air version now. Do you have anywhere near you where you can visit the tents and go in them?

We have a hi gear vanguard and I can’t fault it.

Coleman Octagon, I can put it up with the kids easy enough. It comes down and fits back in it's bag. I like that it's tall, it feels roomy. I fit four camping beds around the edges and a double air mattress in the middle. Not hugely expensive but had it for years and still going strong.

Oh thanks for the quick replies. I plan to go to some camping shops to have a look. It's just a bit scary when something looks good then the reviews say something else. Mumsnet always good for straightforward advice that I an trust. Planning to invest in something decent so want to be sure. Will have a look at the links provided, thanks so much!
