Lake Garda campsite recommendations

Given up on going abroad this summer but dreaming about next summer. Plan to drive to Lake Garda taking a few days through France there and back with a week at a holiday park in Lake Garda area. We would be in our van but with a tent as well. We are too big to squeeze four in a van. I'm concerned our plastic tent would be too hot as we are usually in Brittany/UK/Netherlands where temperatures are quite comfortable for polyester.

I like the look of Eden campsite as it is not too big but has a couple of pool slides and lake access. We don't want a holiday park that is too full on. DC will be 11 and 14. Would prefer not too be too far from train station for days out.

Any one camped in their own tent in this area who can advise?

We went to Garda last year. We had booked Spain as usual but we couldn't go due to the rules so booked a last minute Italy trip and we drove there. We stayed at a campsite Cisano/San Vito. We stayed in a mobile home. We weren't expecting much to be honest as it was fairly cheap but we were struggling to find somewhere. We loved it. Two pool areas one with slides and a beautiful restaurant and direct access to the lake. Would totally recommend it and the pizza was out of this world and all very reasonably priced

This used to be our favourite when the children were all little, but we used to go at the beginning of September (we live outside the UK and have slightly different school holidays) or in the May/June holiday; our neighbours went in August and it was really busy.

It has several pools, a couple of restaurants, take aways and shops but it isn't loud and in your face.

I found that children the ages of yours want other children their ages around with potential to make friends by the pool etc. and the smaller aites tend to be retired people and families with babies and toddlers.

We've stayed at Camping Weekend near Salo in Lake Garda and absolutely loved it (in fact it's one of the few places we've been to twice as we loved it so much the first time).
