Campsite suggestions needed - near a beach?

Looking for suggestions/recommendations. Want a relatively peaceful campsite ie no loud music at night, and would like to be within easy walking distance of a beach. Not too bothered about other facilities but would be nice if there was a visiting food truck or a cafe or similar, or at the very least a pub nearby!

What part of the country?

It’s a car ride to the beach (Bamburgh or Seahouses) but South Meadows at Belford is lovely, farm shop & cafe next door, a couple of pubs and a fab fish & chip shop in the village as well as a co-op.

My pitch is 3 minutes from the beach. It’s 10 minutes back due to the steps though! Grin

Café bus on site, local takeaways also deliver.

Nicholaston Farm in Wales.

It's about 10 mins to the beach (directly from the site), a bit longer getting back up. Nice facilities, cafe and the shower block is one of the best I have seen.

For a tent, caravan, or motorhome?

  • what do you need from the site in terms of basic facilities?

Little Roadway in North Devon

@DogInATent - either tent or static (or teepee, yurt, lodge whatever they have). Basic facilities - decent hot showers and some kind of food on site. Don't really need entertainment as we're going with a toddler.

@MegBusset Anywhere in South Wales or South of England really.

Ruda in Croyde (North Devon) is on the beach, walking distance from the village and has a cafe, bar, shop and indoor swimming pool with slides. Quite expensive to camp there because of this though, I think we paid £60 per night a couple of years ago.

Theres a few campsites in pevensey bay/Norman's bay in Sussex that fit the bill
