Hello, can anyone recommend a tent for camping by myself with the two kids? The priority would be easy to set up. I'm looking for a weekend, one night trips. I'm tempted to buy an instant tent of some sorts and then to buy another one for bigger trips but I'm not sure if I should just get one tent for both... I used to have a large air tent but this would now be too big and wouldn't like to set it up by myself. Any advice welcome. It needs to survive uk weather

I think the best family tents are the Coleman Weathermaster 4, Coleman Mosedale or Vango osiris air 500

I'm thinking about buying this tent https://www.attwoolls.co.uk/kampa-brean-4-air-tent
But then I'm wondering if it's not too much work just for one night trip and whether for now just buy something like this for 1 night or weekend camping https://www.outdoorcampingdirect.uk/coleman-instant-tourer-4-fast-pitch-tent.html?gclid=Cj0KCQjwpdqDBhCSARIsAEUJ0hMRQ4YxCluqi9VmXUits2ugH64Ffc8dbzYQDA-aTX3AXuFFbL2Xw0aAsMFEALwwcB

I've just bought this. Not tried it yet but I read a lot of reviews. I think they do a 4-person one as well.

We’ve got this tent, it’s great for the money, sealed in groundsheet and 1500mm hydrostatic head, so will withstand some pretty heavy showers
It was on my radar for a while and I actually suggested it to a friend before we bought it. She bought it and was very impressed and she’s a seasoned camper, with a very high end (larger) tent

I'm a bit worried that a tent with poles might be too complicated for me if I'm by myself with two small kids

Check out Decathlon. I got a tent from there that's not difficult to erect and is blacked out. You need a light in it in the daytime if you've got it all closed..which means kids not waking too early from the daylight at 4am!

I think you might mean this one https://www.decathlon.co.uk/p/camping-tent-2-seconds-fresh-black-xl-3-person/_/R-p-172537
It looks easy and it's definitely an option but I might get a bit claustrophobic in there

I've a vango airbeam 500xl and can do it easy enough by myself while the kids run about the place

That's good. I just need to bite the bullet probably.
