Sites in the Peak District

We've already booked a week's camping in May half term, but I'm now looking ahead to the summer! We thought we'd try the Peak District, as there's lots of outdoor stuff to do round there. I was wondering if anybody could recommend a good site round there?

We've got a massive family tent (to be expanded this year with a side extension and tarp Grin), so I'd prefer a site where you just pick a spot in a field rather than somewhere with marked-out pitches. Don't need EHU. I'd prefer to have the car next to the tent, but it's not a deal-breaker (as long as there are wheelbarrows...). Oh, and I've found a few sites round there that look very geared up for walkers/backpackers, so I'd prefer more of a family site so we don't stick out like a sore thumb or annoy the other campers!

Any suggestions?

Bank House Farm has ‘freestyle’ camping in one of the fields bankhousefarmcamping.co.uk/about/ It’s within shouting distance of The Manifold Inn, which does a ‘Campers Breakfast’!

Thanks for the suggestion, Fivemore! We have actually booked 6 nights at Mandale campsite near Bakewell, but Bank House Farm has gone on the list for when the DCs are a bit older and pub visits become more possible...
