What can I buy to use now or look forward to using?

I want to buy something smallish that will be handy now but that I can also look forward to using some months down the line. I was thinking of a decent head torch. My bro has one that he waves a hand in front of to turn off and off. I thought that might be useful.

Does anyone have any recommendations of these or anything else for a small purchase that they love?

A Head torch is a great idea we also have one of these its fab and has a magnet in the end.

Our other favourite purchase is a twin burner Petrol powered coleman stove, works in any weather much cheaper to run and hotter the gas. Not cheap but should last a life time

Thanks @Funf that looks great. We have some good little similar torches already, just fancied a head one. The magnet bit is so useful I agree.

Stove looks good too but think it might be too big-we are always packed to the rafters! We do a few festivals usually so have to carry stuff a way.

A decent cool box is something I need to look at though. Can't live without cold wine & ice for the gin!

We got the children LED beanie hats for Christmas. (A bargain at £2 each!) They are currently using them to read in bed.

WE bought the ice blocks for our cool box in America years ago they seem to be much better than what you buy here?

buckeejit · 19/01/2021 08:11

Ooh I never knew ice blocks could be different!

I've seen those hats, they're pretty good.

I have a really good self inflating mat & it is awesome. No more bad back when camping 😀

Ooh which SIM have you got.???..just need a new one ..ideally smaller...currently have thermorest which is OK but big...
Re cool box have an icey tek which is great...but not small..the sheet iceblovks they sell with them are great.

Best recently bought/used folding firepit and extending marshmallow firks...the firepit from amazon..
Forks a gift..
Also really small folding chairs great for festivals/train camping

buckeejit · 23/01/2021 09:34

Ooh the folding fire pit looks fab! I think my sim is an outwell 15cm so it's bulky but oh so comfy.

I also take a massive comfy camping chair to festivals. I'm that age now
