Yep, tis not even the end of October and the ferry and campsite are booked for both Whit and the summer holidays next year. I am very excited.

What am I going to do with my time now if I can't look at every campsite in creation?

oh yeh A level lesson planning........

anyone else booked?

Lucky bism!

But I'll get you back. I have all my upper sixth lessons planned for the whole accademic year!!!!!!

so there!

Lucycat · 27/10/2007 19:26

mmm yep very (envy) of that mb!

I'm teaching a section of the syllabus I've never done before and my job share lady is off sick atm too so I'm doing her bit too - lots of reading needed before each new section.

atmospheric weather systems at the mo

Do you want to know where we're going next year?

Blandmum · 27/10/2007 19:31

yes, go on and make me even more

Weather systems rather you than me dear!

The head of science and I have the A level course nicely divided up between us, and tend to teach the same things each year.

New sylabus next year....drat it!

I have a great thing for 'reserch' lessons (aka Fuck off and find out lessons), i have my own Wiki space, and the kids write their own wiki pages. Dead easy to do and the A level students love it. and they can access it from home, so it acts as a revision aid.

school think I'm v clever. Save me loads of time

Lucycat · 27/10/2007 20:17

Ok sooooo at Whit we're going to Dornafield in Devon simply the best campsite I've ever been to.

and we're off to France in the summer . We're staying at Chantepie in the Loire Valley we've got 'mates rates' for the ferry crossing too

The Wiki thing sounds fab - is it easy to do?

We've been planning too. lots of palces ahve shrunk their pitch sizes, haven and park esorts included. We e-mailed them explaining why we needed a larger tent and asked for their help- you know, 4 kids, 2 sn etc- and Haven sent us a no dice replt, but aprk resorts have come back and said they're ahppy to let us have a pitch big enough at the standard size , so looks like we're off back there then!

Whitsun is planned, usual Cheddar (not doing anywhere next year we ahven't donebefore with a newborn) but taking Mum and both sister's families as it's Mums 6oth in June and their 40th wedding in August so a family celebration up for grabs.

Lucycat · 27/10/2007 20:29

Hallo Peachy me ole mucker!

How's the pregnancy going? Not seen you around for a while, mind you the Halloween names are confusing me!

Good news about the Park resorts...is that Nodes Point?

OP posts:
PeachyFleshCrawlingWithBugs · 27/10/2007 20:33

yep, Nodes. they're following with many poeple and introducing a 6 X 6 size but that's just useless now for us!

We are going to Butlins in December for a non camping holiday (!!!!!), but that's coz I ahd a moment after DS1 didnt get invited to yet another party and booked a Chrsitmas thing there instead, so none of his 'mates' could insist on an invite- hormones? moi?

PG going well, scan to find out gender etc in a fortnight but am certain its another boy- thankfully!

How's all your end?

Lucycat · 27/10/2007 20:37

A December break will be lovely for you all.

We are all good here, dd2 likes school, my part time is great - I'm enjoying it even more then I thought I would!

mb has got me thinking about using a Wiki though.......

OP posts:
Blandmum · 27/10/2007 20:37

all sound great. the wiki thing is a piece of ease, and they are free and advert free from wikispaces.com if you use them in a school setting. kids love them, think electronic posters and you have it.

PeachyFleshCrawlingWithBugs · 27/10/2007 20:49

The wiki sounds like a good idea

All well here, DS1 almost gor excluded at the start of term in his new school (juniors transition) but is OK now, if a bit to be told his reading age is half his actual! But they seem happy, DH is fine and all's well.

Blandmum · 27/10/2007 20:53

anyone can get a wiki from them. takes about 30 Mins to set up. you can use tem for sharing photos, all sorts of stuff.
