Thinking of buying a Vango Diablo 600........

tent. After having done some research this one seems to tick all the boxes for us. I am not sure about the HH though. It is 3000. Is this too low? I have read on here that this is v.important. I have seen other tents with HH 5000 ETC, are we likley to get wet in heavy rain? Any info on this tent gratefully received.

3000 fine - anything 2000 plus is ok

friends of ours have the diablo 900, is a good tent.

oooh a tent thread! they are a bit thin on the ground at the moment, we're all abit depressed at the ending of another season.....

aaanyway the Diablo is a good tent, I think that for normal summer camping 3000 hh is perfectly fine - there wouldn't be a huge difference between 3000 and 5000 hh. Our old tent was 3000HH and it's canopy that we added on was 5000HH and when it poured down there was no difference.

my friend has one of these, she loves it, I am mostly jealous

£219 seems to be cheapest price around.

We have a Diablo 600 ( 2 sleeping compartments for '3' people each yup?). It's great.
We generally have it set up so that our cooker and kitchen stuff is in the porch - there is room for one of those folding table/bench combos in there too. Then we have the main room for toys/games on wet days.

We got a bargain one, £100 at the last day of the Millets tent show in Oxford this Aug. It's a great tent, have used it for a trial weekend in Sept but have found (in planning for next year) that we are limited to the campsites you can use because of it's size, we may have to also buy a tunnel type tent for when a campsite won't accept the Diablo one.

We've got one too - love it. We were caught in a sudden storm camping with friends last year and everyone ended up taking refuge with us, so it can't be that bad!

Thanks for the quick replies everyone. Lucycats - glad all this tent talk has got you so excited . I spotted one on 'Hi-Peak' website for £178 yesterday! Looked today and it's gone . It's good to get some advice on it, as we're not likely to get to 'view' one now are we?
