Sleeping in hooded onesies

Have 6 year old and 3 year old DDs. Camping this weekend. Their warmest clothes are hooded onesies-are these safe to sleep in? No cords round the necks but I’m sure I saw something about kids sleeping in hoods being dangerous.....?

and thats not how Grin

Bowerbird5 · 25/08/2020 23:22

I wouldn’t let them.

A pain whe you need wee. Walkways sleep in jogging bottoms, t shirt or jumper and a wooly hat if its cold. Nothing worse than having to strip naked to use the toilet in the middle of the night.

Bunnybigears · 25/08/2020 23:26

we always not walkways!

MinesAPintOfTea · 25/08/2020 23:28

Fleece separates, always. Otherwise if they need a wee in the night it will be cold, and the top half is likely to end up on the wet campsite toilet floor

I wouldnt

Thanks for comments. Wees in the middle of the night are not an issue as neither are dry at night yet. I don’t want to buy anything new but will think about the recommendations for next size up. Those who say no (aside from the wee issue) is it on safety grounds?

I read a long time ago that hooded onesies were not safe so we've nevernlet ours sleep in them.

A long sleeved top and thick leggings would probably be better. It can get quite warm inside a sleeping bag and I would worry about overheating.
