Best campsites to buy a caravan

We really want to buy a caravan, tourer not static (yet), as we want the flexibility to be able to travel when we want but we want a nice campsite to keep it sited so we’re not having to store it & can just head off whenever we fancy a weekend away, or I can head off in the school hols with friends & their kids without having to tow it myself. Anyway, my question is where is your favourite campsite in the North England (east or west) or North Wales? Ideally I want to be near a beach (don’t mind if it’s a short drive) & no more than 2 hours away from Manchester. Help! I’ve no idea where to start searching

Busy or Quiet?
Firstly its much better value buying a tourer, statics are too expensive and you are often tied to the site.
Start at Prestatyn and work along the coast but don't forget to look inland too as some very nice sites just a few miles inland, many don't have websites as they just don't need them so drive around and ask.
This one allows tourers on seasonal pitches.
