Sorry this is my third message! INEED to get away! If we went to France, can you recommend places to stay up to around 4/5 hours of Calais?
We've ventured into many parts of France but have taken our caravan. Now we've sold it SadSad(typically as this year it would've been perfect to get away) we need somewhere with mobile homes on site.

Not quite mobile homes but www.chateaumonfreville.com/ has 2 cottages plus some little gypsy caravans. Lovely place.

We went here last year and Honfleur is absolutely gorgeous

Château Lez Eaux is small but has everything you need and is really friendly. Château Le Brevedent has a similar feel.

Second vote for La Briquerie in Honfleur. Lovely area for touring around, lots of history as well as scenery. The site is extremely well run, indoor and outdoor pools, very good loo and showers blocks, nice staff, good restaurant and a large supermarket next door. Lots of rabbits!

Thanks. We went to Normandy last year though. Prob looking at venturing east or south of Calais?

That would just about get you to the Loire Valley. We use Domaine du Dugny between Blois and Amboise. Gorgeous area, usually good weather.

If you go Newhaven Dieppe you get a lot further (our favourite crossing as not too expensive compared to Portsmouth etc). You could get well into the Loire in that time.
