Campsites in woods? About 2 hours from Cardiff

My 4 year old had requested that for her birthday she wants to ‘camp in the woods’. Her birthday is mid August so I’m hoping this might be possible by then.

Can anyone recommend me any sites in Mid Wales/South West? Ideally around 2 hours from Cardiff. We are fair weather campers. Have done a couple of short trips and a festival but don’t have loads of kit. Ideally looking for a cafe onsite as I’m lazy really

Fforest Fields should fit the bill.

I agree that Fforest Fields would fit the bill - most of the tent pitches aren't under the trees, but if you ask for one that is by the streams not in the sports field then it would work. And their forestry is right on the site, so you get nice walks in the woods.
Their cafe is a bit limited, but lovely. And it really is fab for children
